My story is a neurological saga. Approximately one year and seven months ago I had a hemorragic stroke. I "coded"(died) twice and lived in a hospital for a month. This journey has and still is taken me to depths of  pain that I never knew that could be possible. While on this recovery journey I realized healing-although extremly painful is a process. This process  is a network of unknown roads I must travel. One of the roads is  peripheral neuropathy. This path which has captured my entire right side, wrapping me in a fire and ice blanket, that tightens at its leisure. Movement is painful.

Conventional and alternitive treatment/therapy is quite costly. Currently it is cost prohibitive.

One of the neurologists asked if I garden. I replied yes. I was then told to "Garden that will be good for you.". The stroke was June of 2020.I was able to sit in the garden June of 2021. Spending time in the garden, allowed me to recall the  therapies previously taken.

Although I  embrace opportunities to have structured therapy again. Prayer has led me to theraputic gardening. Gardening is a form of therapy. It is calming, beautiful and quite peaceful.  When the night watch of pain come and it does my thoughts take me to the garden. The scent, the sound, and the landscape helps with relaxation. To accomplish a therapeutic garden for self and others I am seeking helping hands.  Helping hands to create safe gardening space. A kaliedoscope of color, scent, texture, soft sounds etc.  I do not know what I don't know. But I know this; The knowledge gained thus far is to be shared. If you will help me-help others  along this healing journey our living will not have been in vain.

                                                     Thank you
