One Team. One Motion. One Big Opportunity.
The James Island Youth Soccer Club 2011 Girls team just punched their ticket to the US Youth Soccer Southern Regionals after an incredible run through the South Carolina State Cup — proving they’re one of the top teams in the state and ready to take on the best in the Region.
Lakyn “Storm” is the goalkeeper who helped anchor the defense through the season and the tournament. Whether it was a breakaway or a corner kick, Storm protectsthe house with poise, talent, and a ferocity that is unmatched.
But this isn’t just about skill — it’s about sisterhood. These girls have been through it all together. Long practices, tough games, and bigger dreams. What started as a soccer team has become something more — a tight-knit group that lives out their motto:
One Team. One Motion.
Now they’re heading to Frisco, Texas, to represent James Island, Charleston, and South Carolina in one of the biggest youth soccer tournaments in the country. And if Regionals goes well? They’ll earn a spot at Nationals in Orlando — a once-in-a-lifetime shot at the title.
But this journey comes with real costs: travel, lodging, tournament fees — it adds up fast.
We’re raising funds to help Lakyn get there, and every bit of support matters. This is more than just a tournament — it’s about giving a young athlete the chance to chase her dream, represent her community, and stand strong for the team that’s become her second family.
One Team. One Motion. Let’s help Lakyn make this motion count.
