Hi Everyone!
I'm Samantha Richardson, and I created this fundraiser to raise money for the American Heart Association and the Miss America Scholarship Organization. I will be competing in Miss Montgomery's Teen later this year, and I am so honored to be representing such an amazing organization.
I am deeply passionate about community service which is one of the most important aspects of pageantry. I volunteer at the Baltimore Humane Society and I founded a community service initiative called The Purple Butterfly Project for lupus awareness. Because of this, I have experience fundraising for diseases and advocating for health. Heart disease is the leading health challenge in America, and I am so excited to launch this fundraiser to support such an important organization.

Miss America and Miss America's Teen National Scholarships are awarded by a separate non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, the Miss America's Scholarship Foundation Inc. This collaboration provides funds for national awards, and in addition, both Miss America's/Miss America's Teen State Scholarships and the American Heart Association's Go Red for Women movement. The American Heart Association's Go Red for Women is Miss America's Scholarship Foundation's national health thought leader. All above mentioned entities are 501(c)(3) organizations and all donations to this campaign are fully tax-deductible per IRS regulations.
