My sweet Cooper recently had emergency surgery to remove a dangerous blockage in his stomach. While he made it through surgery, he developed a post-operative complication called ileus — a condition where the intestines temporarily stop moving normally after surgery. This required several additional nights at the ER for monitoring and supportive care while his digestive system slowly started working again.
It was heartbreaking to see him go through this, but he has been incredibly brave. Cooper is now finally home and recuperating, and I’m so grateful he’s on the mend. Several friends have reached out asking how they can help, which has meant so much. While my focus is on helping him continue to heal, his emergency care and extended hospitalization have brought significant, unplanned medical expenses, and I’m deeply grateful for any support during this time. Thank you for helping Cooper continue his recovery at home. 💛🐾
