Help Mohammed's Family Survive the Holocaust
Important note (1/22/26): This campaign was recreated after GoFundMe closed my account without warning, shutting down all active campaigns. Mohammed's needs are ongoing, which is why this fundraiser has been rebuilt here.
Hey, fellow kind person.
I’m Melissa, and I’m based in the U.S. I’ve been a mutual aid organizer for families in Gaza since early 2024. I work closely with each family, stay in regular contact, and personally coordinate every donation transfer. Receipts are always available.
This fundraiser is for my friend Mohammed, an 18-year-old in Gaza.
He and his family — six people in total — have been displaced multiple times. After months of trying to survive in a tent that was constantly damaged and unlivable, Mohammed was forced to rent a place. This has created an ongoing and urgent need to cover rent, in addition to food, winter supplies, basic necessities, and medical care.
Winter is already here, with relentless cold and rain and floods. Warm clothing and supplies are still desperately needed, and the cost of everything remains extremely high.
Mohammed is caring for his mother and four younger siblings on his own. His father is not in the picture, and there are no real opportunities for work. Movement is dangerous. Venturing outside certain areas, even unintentionally, can result in being shot. Airstrikes have resumed, and daily life remains unstable and unsafe. The 'ceasefire' is a nonexistent. Their home is in a red zone, so rebuilding there is not an option.
His mother continues to suffer from diabetes and severe neuropathy in her legs and requires ongoing care.
All funds raised are transferred securely using reliable methods. Receipts are available upon request.
Every donation helps keep Mohammed's family housed, fed, and alive under conditions that continue to worsen.
Mohammed, in his own words in 2024:
I am Mohammed, 18, from Gaza, studying in the 12th grade. This year I was studying to graduate from the 12th grade, but the profession ruined everything. I wanted to complete my dream, but the occupation destroyed it. My family was living his normal life and my family was simple, but since the beginning of the war, our house has been destroyed and we have moved to a tent where my family lives in very difficult conditions. Please help me and my family to live safely. My family consists of six people—me, two brothers, two sisters, and my mother.
Instead of enjoying his senior year of high school and starting college, Mohammed's trying to keep his family afloat under a genocide that has no clear end.
Your donations are genuinely life-saving.
Thank you for reading.
If you’re not able to donate, please consider sharing. It truly does help.
