2.5 years ago, Hannah Gambino was hired to be the Clay Studio Manager of studio in Hendersonville when a local art league wanted to create a ceramics program.
Hannah managed the studio as if it were her own, creating a membership program, recruiting and training assistants, connecting pottery teachers with our studio to offer a variety of interesting classes, along with all of the daily tasks of a pottery studio like reclaiming clay, loading and trouble shooting the kiln, helping students and members during open studio hours, and so much more. Hannah cultivated a welcoming community space for potters, so it is extremely unfair that her contract was suddenly not renewed without any advance warning.
It is evident that Hannah has had an enormous impact on the clay community at our studio, and that members, instructors, and assistants are upset by this decision.
While we know Hannah will bounce back and go on to do wonderful things elsewhere, as her community, we don’t want to leave her scrambling to make ends meet. Please help us support Hannah during this forced transition. Let’s show her that the ceramics community that she worked so hard to create respects her, loves her, and wants to see her succeed.
