This journey has been so unexpected. Starting from the beginning, I never would I have thought that the reason for me enjoying myself in SO many sports (gymnastics, karate, ballet, swimming, soccer & track & field) would’ve lead me to the world of professional wrestling. Where I more than felt comfortable, it was fated.
Soon, I became the first ever pro wrestler for my country. Then my release from the world’s largest corporation came about. I was left with the serious question of, do I just quit? Was this just a random opportunity that isn’t going to alter my life? Luckily, I got my answer in the form of support, from So many who didn’t see much. I took the chance and went with it.
My first hurdle was to secure my entertainment visa. Which in 2024 cost me over 10k. For only 1 year… My troubles didn’t stop there, after achieving my goal and successfully securing my visa. Sadly, the same day I arrived to the US that same passport was stolen at my apartment in Orlando. Great set back 😅 Still, I did not give up. I found my way to atl to get to an embassy, and headed back to The Bahamas. Where all the fees I paid had to be made again.
That trickled into me losing full contact with the promotion I was supposed to be contacted with. Then they went completely mia. I still didn’t give up, I just decided wrestling would have to wait, I’d get a job and commit to train at Dvon Dudley academy. Unfortunately, my job saw my commitment to wrestling was more than at the job so I was let go for those reasons on a few occasions🥲. Crazy right? But… I still… did not… give up. I then took to social media and began to use my skills in marketing to secure essential products and funds.
My debut at ACW (All Caribbean Wrestling) was the start of a blessing. I was able to begin making money for what I wanted to do. It gave me hope and a sense of purpose. Then came Reality of Wrestling, where I was able to establish ‘Kaylia Capri’ & learn even more! Lastly we have NowThatsWrestling who’s welcomed me with open arms, trust and Allows me to be completely free. I owe so much to these people for seeing me (even though you shouldn’t stare into Capri ☀️🙈).
My intentions for this fund raiser is to aid the cost of my visa renewal currently, which almost sums up to the same amount paid in the beginning. My entire cost is under $8,000. My goal is $3,000 because I don’t want a handout, I’d just appreciate what help I can get to ease the blow. We all are going through our own struggles, and I recognize that.
