Update: I was notified in the middle of Jan that it would take 8 months for the review of my disability application. However, financially speaking I have hit rock bottom, and won't make it. If you could find it in your heart to donate a couple of dollars and share it would be greatly appreciated.

Sometimes life throws you a curve ball that turns your world upside down. I've been thrown that curve ball, however I believe God only gives us what we can handle.
At the beginning of September I got sick. After about a week I started to feel numb and tingly. I honestly thought i was just dehydrated. i had my daughter take me to the ER as it was a holiday. Although I probably was dehydrated, the bigger problem was my potassium level had dropped to a life threatening level. i was admitted and spent 4 days getting stuck by needles over and over again. The silver cloud is I didn't feel it because of the numbness. Once they got my potassium level normal i got to go home. The thing is 3 months later I'm still numb over 75% of my body.
It was very difficult when I first got home needing a lot of help from my 14 year old son. It has gotten a little better although I still need some help. I'm slowly learning to make adjustments or modifications to make some things easier for me to do.
I'm not able to drive due to not being able to feel my hands and feet. i can't walk far without the walker so I am unable to work and have not worked since since being in the hospital. i have filed for disability and am waiting for a decision. However, eve if approved today I wouldn't get a check for several months due to their waiting period.
I'm a single mom just trying to take care of her youngest child. my parents and adult children have been helping me but it's now hurting them financially and mentally worrying about my current financial situation.. I'm trying to save my car since I only have $1300 left to pay it off. I'm trying to save the roof over my head and just get by.
All of this has been difficult and each day is a challenge. The last thing I want is for my son to worry over being homeless on top of everything else.
I am doing this to get us through the 4 to 5 months till I start collecting disability or God willing get well enough to work again. Any help and prayers are much appreciated. Whether you donate or pray please pass my page to others. Thank you and God bless you.
