Hello! I am Raed, 28 years old and living in Gaza. I want to share with you the enormous challenges that my family and I are facing in this merciless war.

I am married and the father of a small and beautiful family. I have always dreamed of providing for their needs and moving them from one place to another, taking care of their souls and lives, like a heroic knight and an angel. As for my wife, Heba, who is 29 years old, she has dedicated her life to building a beautiful and warm family full of love and tenderness.

As for my children, I have two beautiful roses, they are my whole life, Ahlam, who is three years old, the smart girl with the beautiful eyes who used to live the most beautiful life and we provided her with all her rights, which she has now been deprived of and she remains homeless and miserable

My second rose is Samira, a year and a half old, born two months before the war, the sweet-faced girl who was deprived of proper nutrition since her childhood.

They are innocent souls who were robbed of a normal childhood due to the ravages of conflict.

Our family home, which was once a safe haven, has been damaged and destroyed, leaving us not only homeless, but also suffering from the loss of our cherished memories and sense of security. We have been displaced many times, resorting to modest tents, shelters and the streets. Living in these temporary tents imposes many challenges on us. We queue for the bathroom to relieve ourselves, and cook on a makeshift stove, everything is difficult for us. Getting water is very difficult; we have to walk long distances and wait in long lines to get it. Food is scarce, which increases our daily struggle. The extreme weather in the desert, with its extreme cold at night and extreme heat during the day, increases our hardships, and makes life in displacement unbearable at times.

On the tenth day of the war, our bitter displacement journey began for us and our children, and we are still suffering today. These are some pictures of displacement

Due to water pollution and malnutrition, these two innocent girls suffer from intestinal infections, stomach worms, and food poisoning. We usually go to the hospital under the risk of planes and bombing to treat them.

Ahlam also suffers from severe allergic reactions, due to malnutrition and water pollution. Her life is in danger and she cries intensely from the pain, so we take her to get allergy shots and some medications.

As for me, I suffer from stomach pain and a fourth-degree hiatal hernia, which prevents me and makes me lose the ability to live my normal life, in light of these great difficulties and the collapse of the health system here and the interruption of medications.

My wife is suffering from anemia and is also breastfeeding, and suffers from varicose veins, toothache, some colon pain, and vasculitis.

We want to use the donations to obtain necessities such as food, clothing, medical care, and to cover the costs of displacement, transportation, and other personal items.

We plan to use the donations to evacuate people from the war zone through HALA, seeking temporary relief from the chaos and a glimmer of hope for a better future. Your support is not only a lifeline for me and my family, but also a beacon of hope in the darkness of war. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for standing with us and providing your generous assistance.

We made the difficult decision to leave for Egypt together in light of the horrific devastation we witnessed in our beloved Gaza. The pain and fear of seeing our homeland in ruins due to the ongoing conflict has left deep scars on our hearts. We long for a safer environment where we can rebuild and strive for a brighter future. Although it is very painful to leave our cherished memories, we are determined to find stability and security in Egypt, and seek solace and support as we embark on this difficult journey.

Raed wanted to share a message to everyone who supports this amazing family.

To the dearest people in my heart, my second family,

I write to you as the wind whips against my tent and the sounds of torrential rain fill the air. I know you are following our news, but I wanted to share an update from the heart of our suffering, from the heart of the winter that is now battering us with unprecedented ferocity.

A severe storm has struck us, as if the heavens decided to unleash a month's worth of rain in a single day. The rain is relentless, flooding our tents and intensifying the cold, making every minute a new struggle to stay warm and dry.

You have always been a light in my darkness. Thanks to your help, I have been able to secure the warmth of blankets, the strength of my tent, and a morsel of bread to sustain me.

Today, facing this icy deluge, I am still in dire need of your generous hand. We desperately need protection from this cold and sustenance amidst these impossible conditions.

I say this with all sincerity and depth: you are not just friends; you are the family my mother never gave birth to. Having you in my life is the only solace that helps me endure all of this.

I sincerely wish I could repay your unforgettable kindness when I return to my job and our lives return to normal. Please know that this kindness is etched in my memory and time will never erase it.

I eagerly await the day I can embrace you and thank you in person. Please stay well for my sake.

With all my love and gratitude,

This is a message Raed wanted to share to all of you amazing friends who’ve stayed with us through this journey.
“To the kind souls who never abandoned me,

I don't know where to begin. Thank you alone isn't enough to describe the hope you've planted in my life and the lives of my family (Heba, Ahlam, and Samira) amidst this devastation.

You have been the only light that has illuminated our dark days since the beginning of this ordeal. I remember well that you never abandoned me for a moment. You were my support during my illness, my aid in my displacement and displacement, and a balm for my wounds when I lost my loved ones and my home. Your support, financially and psychologically, wasn't just a form of assistance; it was tangible proof that humanity has not died.

But, my dear friends, I write to you with a heart aching. Despite everything you've given, the days we are living are too heavy to bear alone. What we are going through now, after all this patience and loss, requires greater strength and increased support to survive and endure.

Today, we are in dire need of your generous hands. Not just for food and shelter, but to keep the flame of life and hope alive in the hearts of my wife and daughters, who have lost so much.

Don't leave us now; the journey isn't over yet, and I cling to the thread of your presence in our lives, like a drowning man clutching a straw. I know that your hearts have never let us down, and I trust that you will understand my silence and my need, and you will find a way to extend your support to us so that we can continue on this path.

Your loyalty to me from the beginning is the only thing that gives me the courage to ask you to stay by our side until the end. You are not friends, but part of the family and partners in this bitter steadfastness.

From the bleeding heart of Gaza, from me, Heba, Ahlam, and Samira, may God reward you for every tear you wiped away and every hope you planted in us.

Your loving and grateful brother, Raed 💝” .

This is a message I received from Raed today, this is what he would like to share.
“A message from a heart in pain... Please don't leave my family alone in this darkness.
I am Raed, just a father struggling to survive in this cruel world. I never imagined the day would come when I would find myself writing these words, asking for help and assistance, but the overwhelming circumstances leave me no other choice.
Every morning, I wake up to an inescapable pain. The hiatal hernia I suffer from has become a constant companion. Nevertheless, I force myself to get up, search for firewood or food, and carry water long distances to return home with some sustenance for my family. Every step is suffering, every breath is pain, but my fear for those I love is stronger than any pain.
My father, who has always been my support and strength, is battling a malignant disease. Bladder cancer is ravaging his body, and chemotherapy is wearing him down. Every day that passes, I see him wither before my eyes, desperately in need of ongoing treatment that I cannot provide. Nothing is more difficult for a person than seeing their home collapse piece by piece, and with every pain my father suffers, I feel a part of me dying.
As for my wife, her body is weakened by anemia and varicose veins, and she is trying hard to provide our children with a safe environment. But what is even more difficult is seeing my two young daughters, who are in dire need of healthy food to protect them from disease. My little girl, Samira, who is the apple of my eye, suffers from osteoporosis, a sprained foot, and weak ligaments. My heart aches when I see her trying to walk, and her every step is a silent scream. I am trying hard to find her a cure, but all doors are closed in my face.
Displacement and soaring prices have pushed us to the brink. We no longer have anything, and all I wish for is to be able to provide them with food and treatment.
So, I address you, those reading these words, with a broken heart and a sincere plea. I ask little of you: to help us financially as much as you can, or to share our story so that more people can see it. Every bit of help, no matter how small, will be a ray of hope in this darkness we live in.
Please, don't leave my family alone. I appeal to you in the name of humanity: Help me be the support my father needs, the husband my wife needs, and the father my two daughters need.”
Help Raed and his family in anyway you can. Thank you for being here, thank you for reading, and thank you for helping a family suffering through Genocide.
