Starting in a new classroom with new students is always a journey full of excitement and challenges. As I step into this role, it’s clear that our school, here in Sacramento, lacks many of the resources we need to create a nurturing and successful environment for my students. Our community is low-income, and often, basic supplies that other schools take for granted are not available here. This means that much of what is necessary—from school supplies and art materials to engaging toys and activities—comes out of my own pocket.
I am reaching out with a hope to transform my classroom into a place where kids feel inspired and supported every day. Each contribution, no matter the size, will help fill our space with the warmth and tools these young learners deserve. I've seen firsthand how new books and creative projects can light up their faces and fuel their imaginations. Together, we can ensure the children experience the full joy and richness of learning, surrounded by everything they need to succeed.
