All money raised will go towards however many months of rent upfront that will get us into a place and unfortunately the more the better. This is why I'm asking for assistance with $8000.
I am in a tough spot and need a place for my girlfriend and our cats to live. I am a transgender woman. My girlfriend is autistic and disabled and I am her only caregiver, we have 4 cats which give her support. We became homeless in Florida on Friday November 5th. I'm not a scumbag, scammer, or freeloader, but I do need help. After a recent divorce, home sale, and relocation my life has fallen apart as has my credit score and so much else. I'm just trying desperately to find someone willing to take a chance on us while I get us back on our feet.
This last year has been tough, but we are getting back on track and just need someone to give us a chance. I had a rental truck of belongings that needed to be emptied so I used some of the little money I had to rent a storage unit in Florida, we then decided to make our way across the country to Utah. Florida had just become too expensive in the last year and even a staying in a hotel past a week became impossible. Utah is familiar to my girlfriend, and allows her to function better and takes pressure off me to be constantly watching over her.
We don't have much at the moment. All the money I have had went towards hotels, food, a U-Haul, and a storage unit. I'm not asking to live for free, just to have somewhere while I get everything sorted out. Shelters and aid are not available to us, without kids, or having been on unemployment. There is a lot more to our story, and someday I'll tell it.
