On the morning of March 30th, 2026, my life took an unexpected turn. I was walking back home in Blackwell after putting my son on the school bus when a car suddenly swerved around the bus, hitting me in the crosswalk. The impact was devastating, leaving me with a metal plate and six screws in my fibula, and two screws in my tibia. To make matters worse, I've lost the retina in my left eye. I had hoped for vision restoration, but after the oil bubble removal, I learned that it would not return. Each day feels like a new challenge as I navigate these changes.
These injuries have made daily life incredibly difficult. My car was repossessed this morning, complicating my ability to get around in this small town. Walking everywhere is hard with my injuries, and some days, just getting out of bed feels like crossing a mountain. I’m reaching out in hopes of finding support for my medical bills and to help secure some form of transportation. Your understanding and kindness would mean the world to me as I work towards healing and regaining a sense of normalcy.
