My name is Pascal Cartier. I have created this funding page as a way to aquire funds for an upcoming trip with my French teacher and fellow students. We will be going to England, France, and Italy for a total of 14 days.
I am currently a sophomore at Castro Valley highschool, and over the course of this trip I will be turning 16. In the last couple years I have learned that I greatly enjoy learning about other cultures, architectural creativity, and languages. This trip will also challenge me to get out of my comfort zone, something that I always seek to do.
In total I have been to 8 countries throughout my life and I absolutely adore travelling. (I probably inherited this trait from my parents, they both are big travelers). However this will be my first time travelling with peers and without any family, so I am truly excited to have this new experience.
This trip is going to be beneficial for me in that I am currently hoping to have a career in journalism. An opportunity such as this would be great for writing about an incredible new experience in which I will go to many famous places, new terrains, and bond as a group with the other french students.
I will also be able to exercise a current hobby of mine by photographing all my surroundings. It will also help me to better learn french.
What you will receive if you decide to help provide for this trip; I view this as a collaboration so I will send regular written descriptions with photos of how the trip is going and highlights of my personal experience. I will also give a custom piece of art as a thank-you gift for donations that are especially generous (though I am also happy to do commission art projects for anyone).
