Abood is a normal 21-year old, who loves acro, tumbling and the gym.  The only difference:  he lives in Gaza.  Before the war, he and his friends used to go to the beach and markets to train their skills.  Abood was also attending university for metallurgy because he wants to be able to build things.  However, since the war, Abood's life has changed.

During the war, Abood's home was destroyed while he was in it, and he was trapped beneath the rubble.  He lost many family members in that strike, who were living in the apartment above him.  He was later shot by a stray bullet in the leg, which caused serious medical difficulties.  Food has also been scarce, which has caused severe weight loss.  

After his home was destroyed, Abood was forced to flee and live in a tent.  He has now found an apartment that he rents with his family, but the conditions are very difficult, and the prices are high, due to the endless blockades, supply shortages, price-gauging and war-profiteering.  

Abood is currently caring for his mother and father and his younger sister and brother.  He needs help to pay for the rent, food, medical, and other supplies.  His brother was also badly injured during the war and requires continuous medical support.

Abood is just like us, but because of where he lives he is forced to endure the unimaginable.  This is just a fraction of what Abood has lived over the past 17 months.  Please give what you can to help alleviate their suffering and also please consider making a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly donation because as long as this war continues, support will be needed.
