I live in the village of Mt. Morris NY and every day I try to help the people in my community however I can.
The other day I came across a few families on Facebook looking for help for Christmas. I have reached out to them and I have a few things for them. I would like to get the children each a small new gift as well from the dollar tree or Walmart.
It would also be nice to give each family a family gift. One that would include the parents as well. Or be able to purchase the parents a small gift or stocking stuffer if there is enough monies.
If anyone local has things at home that they'd like to gift to a family, that would be awesome. You can message me and we can arrange a pick up or drop off.
* In the photo you'll see that my town has a Community Garden Hut. Fresh vegetables that are grown by some of the local residents are placed here to share with our community. Right now it is being used for donations from community members of new and gently used winter wear. People have also started donating new and gently used toys and gifts for those that may need a little help at this time of year. Any money's that I may have left over will be used to purchase things for the Community Hut. Also if I am given any items that do not go directly to a family, I will take them to the Hut.
