Astro is part of our little tribe of Myself, my two sons, and my partner, as well as our cat. Astro is well known in our neighborhood and well loved by people walking by. He's always happy and loves to chase everything with his tail high and his hips swinging.
Unfortunately, last week he stopped being that happy and active dog. He was hospitalized with a very high fever. He has an infection in his intestines that has gone to his gallbladder, also pancreatitis. Tests suggest possible cancer. The costs of the care have increased dramatically; even if we have to make that heartwrenching choice to part with him.
The latest update 1/5/2026 is that he has a fighting chance. If all goes well tonight, he could be home tomorrow. But then there's the after care and follow ups. Our little "puppy-cat" misses us, and is homesick. Can't wait to see him.
