Hello, my name is Kayla Mabe. Heart disease runs deep in my family; My grandfather battled heart problems, and my aunt faces her own heart challenges. Even more personal to me, my sister lives with Supraventricular Tachycardia (SVT), a condition that affects her heart's rhythm and requires constant awareness and care.
Seeing the people I love struggle with heart conditions has opened my eyes to just how important heart health is -- especially for women, whose symptoms are often overlooked or misunderstood. That is why I am raising awareness and funds through the Go Red for Women campaign in collaboration with the American Heart Association and the Miss America Scholarship Foundation. Through this powerful partnership, we are not only raising funds for life-saving heart research but also for educational scholarships -- helping young women across the country pursue their dreams. Together, we can support lifesaving research, empower women to know their risks, and fight for stronger, healthier hearts.
Every donation -- no matter the size -- makes a difference. Thank you for supporting a cause that means so much to me and my family. It is because of all of YOU that make this journey what it is.
Thank you,
Kayla Mabe
