Tesseract Art Installation
will be a 5’ tall Infinity Mirror Art Sculpture of a 4th-dimensional cube or Hypercube intended for Burning Man 2023, created by Mirror Artist Nicky Alice. A Tesseract is to the cube what the cube is to the square. This is an existing design in which smaller versions are made using a precise arrangement of specialty mirrors and LEDs. The outer shape is a cube along with the undisclosed inner workings creating a multi-dimensional effect.
My idea is to have the citizens of Black Rock City interact in a way where their amazement of the project will immerse themselves deeply in the appreciation of the unknown fourth dimension. This will not be a climbable installation so the viewer will be able to appreciate the project from a long or short distance, including a 6-foot viewing platform. Team Tesseract has been confirmed and my proposal to the Burning Man Arts Black Rock City Honorarium Program has been officially submitted.
