My name is Maren Shelton, and I am currently a Miss Lehi Delegate working toward Miss Utah 2028. I’m raising funds through the Miss America Scholarship Foundation in partnership with the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women initiative.
The American Heart Association's Go Red for Women has joined forces with Miss America's Scholarship Foundation to raise both research dollars AND tuition scholarships, ensuring a healthier, smarter future for women in America.
This cause matters to me because it focuses on both education and women’s health, which are two things that directly impact the future of young women. Through this partnership, we are raising money for educational scholarships while also supporting research and awareness for heart disease, which remains one of the leading health concerns for women.
Every donation goes toward creating opportunities for women to further their education and toward advancing life-saving heart health initiatives. It’s about building a future where women are both educated and healthy enough to pursue their goals.

Miss America and Miss America's Teen National Scholarships are awarded by a separate non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, the Miss America's Scholarship Foundation Inc. This collaboration provides funds for national awards, and in addition, both Miss America's/Miss America's Teen State Scholarships and the American Heart Association's Go Red for Women movement. The American Heart Association's Go Red for Women is Miss America's Scholarship Foundation's national health thought leader. All above mentioned entities are 501(c)(3) organizations and all donations to this campaign are fully tax-deductible per IRS regulations.
