Hey friends! Kitty here writing on behalf of your friendly neighborhood flatmates ... So here's the dealio.

Earlier this year, Hops was laid off from work while she was dealing with chronic pain issues that were being exacerbated by that work. She kept trying, finding a contract nursing position in schools and looking for other work in between. Unfortunately, that work search has not panned out, her savings are exhausted, and unemployment compensation ran out soon after the first of three surgeries she needs to hopefully resolve that chronic pain and be physically capable of being fully employable again.

As friendly local flatmate, i (Kitty) have been trying to cover what i can - but my savings were long since also exhausted, so i'm not able to do as much as i'd like or as needed.

Currently, we owe $1000 for our November rent, and we must pay this amount in full via cashiers check to stop the process toward eviction. Kitty has paid the other $1000 representing her normal share of rent for the apartment Hops has lived in for over 10 years. We are working on identifying and applying for available assistance programs as well, which could help for November and/or December. Any funds beyond rent will be used for other essentials - food, utilities, auto fuel, pet care.

  1. Total rent & fees: $2015
  2. Non-included utilities: $400
  3. Pet food/supplies: $120
  4. People food (both of us have diabetes, special diet needs): $200
  5. Hops' fuel (travel for family, job search): $240

Total monthly costs: $2975

Kitty currently covers $1015 of rent, and contributes to people and pet foods.

A thousand thanks in advance for your kindness and support for our little piece of the Hash Fam over here! ON-ON

Hey all... Got a bit of a pickle here. Last month my radiator died a tragic death while traveling back and forth to eastern washington. It cost $800 to replace, which i took out of my rent fund to pay for. Now im short on my share of the rent. If anyone can help, even just a little bit, it would be most appreciated... Thank you

Greetings all...  Got sort of an update and a request for funding. I have gotten a job that will last until Jun 10th and on Jun 11th, I will be having my hip surgery and recovery during summer vacation...

Now for the request.. I am in urgent need of approx $100 to make sure that I have enough gas for the week. I am currently sitting in Vancouver, WA with 1/4 tank of gas and no money. I still have 2 hrs to go before I get to my job location..

Thank you!!!

Thank you to all who donated. We were able to get December's rent paid without a problem. I have found a job that is actually going to be taking me to the east side of the state for approximately 6 months. I will be leaving on Monday to work in a nursing home in a small town near Moses Lake. Going to be such an adventure

Thanks again and if you want to add anything to the fund, it would be appreciated in advance

We're so thankful for all the kindness and support folks are showing! Love y'all no ****!

There is still more needed urgently to stabilize our housing for this month, so please feel free to keep sharing this spotfund.

We do have an appointment for our local food bank later this week to support people (and pet!) food needs. Hops is actively exploring work opportunities to start in December, and our hope is to take care of the $1,185 balance (with late fee) for November rent so the permanent housing remains stable as those work opportunities will be travelling.
