Hello everyone!
This fundraiser is for my friend Masanneh, a young Gambian man who is trying to earn a better living for himself. He has found a used car that, if he is able to purchase it, he can use to provide taxi services in his city and earn a living for himself. The total cost is $3,700.
This is a plan he has been dreaming about for two years, since losing his grandmother and making the difficult choice to stay in the Gambia rather than trying to move elsewhere to seek better employment opportunities.
Upon completion of my internship this past year, the parish where I worked and learned gave me a gift of $1,000. These unexpected funds suddenly made Masanneh's dream seem a little more possible!
The remaining amount needed for Masanneh to purchase the taxi and be able to earn a livelihood is $2,700. If you are in a financial place where you could make a contribution to this fund, both Masanneh and I would be very grateful.
