My name is Megan, and I’m reaching out for help for my family. Recently, our AC blower motor caught on fire, and thankfully my husband was able to put it out before it caused more damage. Since then, we’ve been relying on three window units, but it’s not enough for our household. All five of my boys are sleeping in one room just to stay cool, and it’s been a struggle to keep everyone comfortable and safe, especially with the summer heat. One of my sons has uncontrolled seizures, which makes a safe and stable environment even more important for us.
On top of the AC issues, our kitchen floor is falling in. We’ve had to use duct tape to keep it together, and while my husband was able to get some materials, we still need more to finish the repairs. The floor situation makes daily life difficult and unsafe, especially for our children. My husband works tirelessly to provide for us, but the cost to get both a new HVAC and the kitchen floor is more than we can manage right now. We’re doing our best to make things work, but the situation is taking a toll on all of us, and I worry about my son’s health every day.
The funds raised will go directly toward replacing our HVAC and fixing our kitchen floor so we can give our children, especially my son with seizures, a comfortable and secure place to rest and grow.
