My sweet Michele needs surgery ❤️
A couple months ago I decided to adopt a kitten from a friend who was rescuing cats from her neighborhood park, that were continuing to multiply. She took in the mamas and their babies, got them fixed, vaccinated and ready for their new homes. I was really touched by her efforts and commitment to these animals.
I went and met the last kitten she had left and decided she'd be a great fit!
In the mean time, another friend encouraged me to adopt two kittens if possible, for socialization and a better quality of life. When I went to pick up my fuzzy little love bug, I was told there was one extra kitten who needed a home. The person who'd originally committed to adopting this kitten ended up flaking. This felt like a sign and moments later found myself the proud mum of two scratchy lil cat babies, who now go by Romi (the first kitty) and Michele (our special surprise).
I couldn't have been more grateful for the decision to adopt two kittens! They play and snuggle all day long and clearly bring the other so much comfort and joy. They have also become best friends to my other new rescue pup! The three wrestle and love on each other and have an amazing bond.❤️

Unfortunately, I found out today that little Michele needs surgery. And as we all know this won't be cheap. I've been told a huge range of numbers of what it could end up being. Currently there are a few options of what could be causing Michele to have trouble breathing, but they won't know until she's under. (Possibly a hernia and possibly a number of other even scarier things.) The one thing they did know was that the X-ray made it clear there was definitely something wrong and that it was "really bad." I gave the go ahead to try and save her life. I will not know the exact cost of everything until it's all said and done, but they continue to warn me of the possible additional costs involved with each option.
This is not an expense that I can afford at the moment and would have to try and put on a credit card if need be. It occurred to me that this is something I've donated to before when others needed help for the same reason and it might make sense to ask for some support.
No pressure at all, but if this is something you can contribute a few dollars to, my little fur family would be forever grateful❤️ Even if I can raise a portion of the cost of her surgery it would help enormously and makes this all a little less scary. So yeah, that's where I'm at right now. 😔
She's currently undergoing surgery and we are hoping for the best. There is also still a chance that she won't make it through surgery and they'll ultimately have to put her down... but I don't want to think about that right now. For now, I'll be hopeful and strong. I know they are doing their absolute best for Michele❤️
