Hey everyone! My name is Helena Alessi.
I started my own Competition and Recreational Dance Studio in the Pasco County area! I wanted to do this because I wanted to create a supportive and inviting space for not only the dancers but their family's as well. The dance community can be an overwhelming place and I want to make sure that the new comers of this dance community get positive start to their journeys!
As everyone knows, small businesses cost lots of money, so we are looking for people to help out over the holidays to close our gap in our funding for the rest of the fall season!
It all began when I was 3 years old seeing Cinderella as a ballet. I turned to my mom and said “I want to do that!”. As a parent, just know that once your child says that sentence it means they found their passion! My passion started then and has never dulled. Now, as I grow as a performer, teacher, and choreographer, what I want in life is to see my students grow as humans as well as strong & confident performers. Me and my mom, Dominique, decided that we wanted to open our own competition and recreational dance studio for kids to go to and feel welcomed and supported in their dreams. Growing up I had two mentors, the late Jeff Boss and Jamie Wardrop. They owned Dance Arts Centre up in Suwanee, GA and that is where I grew up and found my passion for dance.
I have been dancing since I was 3 years old and continue to dance professionally at Busch Gardens Tampa and all around the Tampa Bay Area. I have been teaching dance since I was 16 years old at my High School, Peachtree Ridge in Suwanee, GA and on throughout college at Southern Ballet Theatre and have continued that experience through some local dance studios in Tampa FL. I have seen such improvement in my dancer’s technique and overall confidence on stage awarding them top 10 at almost all of their competitions these past 2 years! I cannot wait to continue to watch my students throughout the next years grow and flourish in this dance world! I have now given them the space and the equipment to stay safe while honing their power to dance to their fullest capabilities!
