My Dad, Dana Hilton has been in end stage liver failure for 4 years. Which is a miracle in itself beings the life expectancy of someone in end stage liver failure is 1 to 2 years max. At the beginning of 2021, while in end stage liver failure, he was diagnosed with Non-hodgkins Diffuse large B cell Lymphoma and BEAT it. A few months after being in remission from the lymphoma, on December 14th, 2021, he started getting confused, losing alot of blood threw is rectum and became non-verbal in which I rushed him to the ER to find out what was going on. They admitted him to the hospital, ran test and came back and told us he now has a malignant brain tumor. They also said his platelets were to low to do a biopsy so 4 days later they sent him home with hopes of him getting to his regular doctor to try and get his platelets up to run further tests and figure out a plan. Four more days later, on December 18th, 2021, we had to call an ambulance to come rush him back to the hospital because his confusion, rectal bleeding, became worse and he was now not able to even move or talk. Upon arrival to the ER he had to be put in restraints because due to his confusion and not knowing where he was at he would not cooperate with medical staff. While in restraints they intubated him (put him on a ventilator), and feeding tube and he was place in ICU. About a week later after doing surgery to stop him from bleeding threw his rectum, they extubated him, had been giving him meds to try and correct his confusion and moved him to PCU with hopes of him recovering, moving to a nursing him to start physical therapy, speech therapy, and psych therapy. But around January 12th, 2022, my Mom was called into the hospital by Dads doctor and told that he only has 3 weeks to a month left to live if not less. He wasnt showing any signs of improvment, he was still non-verbal, he started losing blood threw the rectum AGAIN, this time 10x's worse than ever before. His confusion continued, and there is just simply nothing more they can do to help him. He cant get a liver transplant because he is to weak to withstand the surgery, he wouldnt make it out of the operating room. During this time that my Dad has been in the hospital, for exactly one month today, my Moms at risk of losing her car, her lights have already been cut off once, shes having trouble buying food, and its nearly impossible to get back and forth to the hospital due to not having money for gas. My Dad was the main breadwinner of the family. He provided, and has done so for many years since I was born, and I am now 28 years old. I help my Mom as much as i possibly can, even leaving myself and my husband broke. Which is completely and totally fine I am not complaining one bit, because to me, my parents deserve the world they took care of me growing up. But I also have bills and can't help as much as she needs right now. She will also need help with his funeral. So anything at all will help. If you can help we THANK YOU with our whole heart. If you cannot we understand, as times are hard right now for everyone. But please pray for our family as the hardest days have yet to come but are so very near. And we THANK each and everyone of you and GOD BLESS YOU ALL. Here is her cashapp because cashapp is quicker and will go straight to her the second you send. Or you can send which ever way you feel comfortable.
Sincerely,
Their Daughter
Cyndel Hilton
