привіт! (Hello in Ukrainian)
My name is Magdalena Dabrowska. I am a Polish-American photographer who lives in New York City. My great grandmother was born in Lviv, Ukraine and I have always wanted to come and experience my roots. Unfortunate is the timing of my first trip here.

On March 6th, 2022 (10th day of war) I have flown to Warsaw and made my way to Ukraine. I have been here since and continue on working with Ukrainian organizations on bringing aid to smaller, most dangerous villages at the front lines of war.
With your contribution and willingness to help, we will be able to continue helping Ukrainian people and bring relief to the places that only bravest are willing to go to.
So far my teams and I have:
- Helped with Polish / English translation for incoming refugees at train stations in Warsaw and Krakow. I understand Ukrainian and they understand my Polish.
- Assisted in the logistics and transportation of refugees (especially women and children, and families of color leaving from Ukraine to Poland)
- Delivered aid with Team from Mariupol (city that has been absolutely destroyed) to small villages by the front line - my friends escaped the city, bought a van, and devoted their lifes to bringing humanitarian aid and helping their people in areas of Sloviansk, Kramatorsk, as well as still Mariupol.
- Delivered aid with Team from Mykolaiv - my special team on missions to deliver aid to the 2nd and 1st line of the front. They are sweet 3 women and 1 young man who risk their lives to help people every day
- Delivered aid with Team from Polish Catholic Union in Katowice - my Polish drivers deliver aid to areas of Ivankiv, Bucha, Irpin as well as north Kyiv oblast area.

You can follow our efforts and everything we do here on the grounds on my Instagram @manialenha. Please feel free to message me and say hi!
We will also be sharing a folder of images from the places we have visited to put a smile on YOUR face and have you see the people YOU have helped.
Currently our objectives are to:
- purchase another car to become independent in our missions
- pay for gas to my dear volunteers as that is the biggest expense right now
- deliver more aid to the area of Sloviansk, Mykolaiv, and Donbas area as I got connected to the people there and can make it happen
Thank you kindly for your willingness to support us!
Everything we do is only possible with YOUR help!
Ukrainian people tell me every day that they feel the presence of the whole world through my presence here and SAY THANK YOU.
Slava Ukraini!
💙💛
дуже-дуже дякую! (Thank you very much!)
Greetings from Ukraine,
Magdalena "Mania" Dabrowska
