As much as our pride has disallowed us from making this plea thus far❤️🩹:
This March, we discovered my Dad, Larry Hundley, is terminally ill with stage 4 organ failure. Our hope is to get him stable enough for his life-saving transplant, in which I myself am the intended live Donor.
Aside from Organ Failure, his IMMEDIATE risk is that his esophageal varices could rupture at any moment, for any or NO reason.
What this means is that without IMMEDIATE intervention, the internal bleeding in his throat down into his esophagus can and will be fatal; yet the ONE, LONE specialist in my Dad's area refuses to touch him without thousands of dollars upfront.
So far, we've been held hostage in the cruelest waiting game, as he’s suffered for FIVE months with almost no professional intervention or support.
State Medicaid denied him, SSDI is dragging their feet, and every door we knock on slams shut. We can’t even get basic services in his area, let alone the specialists he desperately needs.
This has left us with the impossible choice of finding a way to raise the money, or lose him before the transplant is even possible.
The specialist requires $2000 just to secure and start this procedure, and then another $5k+ thereafter, not including any stays or emergencies.
I am pleading for your help, shares, prayers, or any support you can give.
He is and has always been a kind, open, welcoming friend to ALL, and now HE needs his friends more than ever. This is literally life or death, and every single act of kindness could be the one that helps save my Dad.
