I’m Arya Shaffer, Miss Northern Colorado, and I am so excited to be raising funds through the AHA Go Red for Women x Miss America collaboration. This partnership supports two things I care deeply about: educational scholarships for women and lifesaving heart health research through the American Heart Association.
As a future women’s health PA and the founder of my community service initiative, Know Her Health, I believe women deserve to feel informed, empowered, and supported in every area of their health. Whether it is knowing the signs of heart disease, advocating for respectful care, getting screened, or having access to education, women’s health and women’s futures are deeply connected.
This year, my work is personal. After walking alongside my mom through her cancer diagnosis and recovery, I have seen how powerful it is when women have knowledge, support, and resources at the right time. That is why I am proud to raise funds that help women pursue education while also supporting research and care that can save lives.
