Yesterday, April 6, mom and dad's house caught on fire after starting the heat. The alarms went off, Sparks were flying out of the vents, and the house quickly filled with smoke from every vent. They were able to get the animals out but by time they ran back inside, the house was filled with black smoke. Everyone's okay... just stressed over the damages now. The entire HVAC system will have to be replaced. The water lines busted in several places under the house. The electrical lines were melted. All food is wasted. All clothes stink of electrical fire smoke which is extremely strong. They will be moving in with me for a while until we can fix the damages and get the smoke smell out. While trying to run the business, this will now be a huge project for them to accomplish. They didn't have home owners insurance so this will all be out of pocket... Any help is appreciated.
