5 months ago my dad was diagnosed with lung cancer, unfortunately the radiation and chemotherapy treatments were not enough to fight the cancer.
John j Corber was his name, he passed at the young age of 69 at his home in Wahweap, Az. He was a father, a grandfather, a husband and a beloved friend to many. He lived an incredible life, with many great stories that were told. John j Corber or better known to many as JJ was a Marine veteran and served for 7 years before leaving and eventually meeting my mother, and years later having two amazing daughters, myself and my sister. JJ then worked at Lake Powell marina for many years. As a child I remember him returning from work covered with black ash on his face and clothes, I had asked him what happened. He responded  “ a houseboat caught on fire and I had to get the owners dog” I was just so little at the time and became to see my dad as a superhero. He continued to do this on many occasions, my mother was always upset, but now I can understand why. My dad JJ was an incredible man, I saw him to be incredibly strong and intelligent as if nothing on this earth would hurt him. Unfortunately that childhood vision of my father was lost due to cancer. We ask at this time to keep our family in your prayers. We can not thank everyone enough for all their love  and support for us as we grieve our loss. Thank you for any donations at this time, anything helps. God bless
