Meet our Super Hero Jack! He has been diagnosed with Degenerative Myelopathy. Degenerative myelopathy (DM) is a progressive, incurable disease affecting the spinal cord in dogs, leading to weakness and paralysis, primarily in the hind limbs. It's similar to ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease) in humans. DM is characterized by a gradual decline in motor function, starting with hind leg weakness and eventually impacting all limbs.
Jack came to me 4 months ago from Coastal Boxer Rescue looking for a foster mom as his condition began to progress but don’t you worry Jack does not let his DM phase him. He’s loves his wheels which help him stay active and allows him to keep up with his furiends.
He’s a warrior & refuses to take NO for answer against all odds. Jack wants to walk & truly feels he can walk again. He is currently undergoing holistic treatments such as ozone therapy, reiki energy healing, sound healing, laser therapy, acupuncture and hydrotherapy. He is also consuming natural supplements to assist in his healing journey. He is a candidate for a microbiome replacement which we are hoping to accomplish this coming month.
If Jack has touched your heart please consider donating to his cause. Any little bit helps even your daily cup of coffee! Thank you for helping Jack in his healing journey π
