For many years, I've had the privilege of calling Canyon Lake my home, where I've been deeply involved with our Volunteer Fire Department. Together, we launched the town's first Advanced Life Support program, a dream crafted from countless late nights juggling my job and paramedic studies. Earning my certification in three years was a commitment to bringing the best emergency care to our community.
Driven by the need to enhance my skills, I attended the Texas A&M Fire Academy, aiming to better protect our families here. My career took me to San Antonio as a paramedic, yet Canyon Lake remained close to my heart. Volunteering in our town has always been my way of giving back to this amazing place.
Life threw an unexpected challenge my way when a stroke impacted my mobility. Despite this hurdle, my dedication to supporting our firefighters and paramedics remains unwavering. To continue this mission, I need a mobility vehicle and an electric wheelchair, essential tools not covered by insurance.
