I’m reaching out to ask for help with something deeply important to my health, safety, and daily life.
Many of you know that I live with Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS) and chronic migraines. These conditions can be unpredictable and, at times, overwhelming and dangerous. When I’m out in public alone with my children, my symptoms can come on seemingly out of nowhere and limit my ability to fully be present for my kids. On top of that, I’ve been navigating the unimaginable loss of my son, Benjamin, which has profoundly impacted my mental and emotional well-being.
My puppy, Honey, has already brought so much comfort into my life. With proper training, she has the potential to become a fully trained service dog—one who could alert me to changes in my heart rate and blood pressure, warn me of incoming migraines, and provide grounding support during moments of anxiety, grief, and emotional distress.
Service dog training is specialized and expensive, but it would truly be life-changing for me. Honey could help me regain independence, feel safer in my own body, and better manage both my physical and psychiatric needs.
I’m asking for support—whether that’s through donations, sharing this post, or simply keeping us in your thoughts. Every bit helps bring us closer to making this a reality.
Thank you for reading, for caring, and for being part of this journey with me and Honey. 💛
