Hello Parents

My name is Qrenzina (Kren-Zina), and my journey in education has taken a path I never could have predicted, one shaped by years of hands‑on teaching, deep study, and most of all motherhood.

For over a decade, I’ve worked as an instructor with Local 3 IBEW, teaching adults through practical, experiential learning. My work has always centered on empowering learners, building confidence through meaningful experiences, and creating environments where everyone can thrive. That work taught me something essential: people thrive when they are trusted, respected, and given the space to explore. As I pursued my graduate degree in early childhood education, I realized that these same principles are exactly what young children need and too often don’t receive.

But my journey toward opening a Montessori microschool began long before I ever imagined myself as a school founder. It began the day I became a mother.

One of my girls is autistic. She is bright, intuitive, and wonderfully self‑directed. Yet navigating early childhood systems made it painfully clear how often children like her are misunderstood, underserved, or placed in environments that prioritized compliance over curiosity, routines over relationships, and one‑size‑fits‑all expectations over the beautifully diverse ways children learn. Many environments are not designed with children like her in mind.

I knew I had to build something different, not just for her, but for every child who deserves an education that sees them as capable, whole, and worthy of individualized support. Every child deserves an education rooted in respect, independence, and joy.

Montessori philosophy resonates deeply with me because it sees the child as capable, whole, and worthy of individualized support. It offers structure without rigidity, freedom with purpose, and a profound respect for each child’s developmental path. It is also inherently inclusive, designed to meet children where they are and help them grow at their own pace.

Montessori philosophy spoke to everything I believed: respect for the child, freedom within structure, sensory‑rich environments, and a deep commitment to inclusion. It offers a way of learning that honors neurodivergent and neurotypical children alike, allowing each to grow at their own pace while learning side by side.

That is why I am opening a Montessori microschool rooted in intentional inclusion. A place where children are not “accommodated”, they are understood and respected. A place where children learn supported by an environment that values sensory regulation, emotional safety, and hands‑on exploration. A place where children can flourish academically, socially, and as human beings. A place where our children can learn in an environment that values empathy, independence, and community. A place where families feel seen, supported, and welcomed.

This school is not just a professional goal. It is a personal mission. It is the future I want for my daughters, and the contribution I want to make to my community.

By supporting this campaign, you are helping create a learning environment where every child, regardless of their developmental path, can thrive with dignity, joy, and purpose. You are helping build a school that honors children’s individuality, empowers families, and expands access to high‑quality early education. You are helping create a space where inclusion is not an add‑on, it is the foundation.

Help Us Open a Micro-Montessori School in Jamaica, Queens!

A community-rooted, child-centered learning space for our youngest learners.

Our Mission

We are building a small, beautiful, nurturing micro-Montessori school right here in Jamaica, Queens. A place where children are seen, respected, and supported as they grow into confident, curious, compassionate human beings.

Our goal is simple:

Make high quality Montessori education accessible to the families who need it most.

Why Jamaica, Queens?

Jamaica is one of the most vibrant, diverse, and hard working neighborhoods in New York City. It's filled with families who want the very best for their children. Yet access to Montessori early childhood programs that are peaceful, culturally reponsible, and child-centered are limited.

Many parents face:

  • Long waitlists
  • High Tuition
  • Overcrowded classrooms
  • A lack of Montessori options

We believe every child in our community deserves a learning environment that honors their natural curiosity and potential.

What is a Micro-Montessori School?

A micro-school is intentially small, warm, intimate, and community driven. Combined with the Montessori approach, it becomes a place where children:

  • Learn at their own pace
  • Explore hands-on materials
  • Build independence and confidence
  • Develop social-emotional skills
  • Feel safe, valued, and understood

This is not just a school. It's a sanctuary for learning.

How This Dream Began

This project started with a simple but powerful question:

"What would it look like if every child in Jamaica, Queens had access to a nurturing Montessori environment?"

I found myself searching for Montessori options for my own children that were local, accessible and affordable. I was dissapointed with the lack of authentic options available in my area. I did not want a daycare, and I wasn't looking for a traditional Pre K option. Seeing the gaps in early childhood education, and witnessing how deeply children thrive when given the right environment, we knew it was time to create something rooted in love, equity, and possibility.

This school is our answer.

What Your Donation Supports

Every dollar goes directly toward creating a safe, beautiful, fully equipped Montessori classroom.

Your support will help us fund:

  • Montessori materials (practical life, sensorial, math, language, cultural)
  • Child sized furniture and shelves
  • Insurance and hiring costs
  • Classroom setup and saftey equipment
  • Outdoor learning materials (including our on site seasonal garden)

Montessori materials are specialized and costly, but they last for years and transform how children learn.

Your contribution builds a classroom that will serve generations.

Our Funding Goal

We are raising $25,000 to open our doors.

This amount covers the essential materials and setup needed to welcome our first group of children.
