$3,000 Goal – For a Used Vehicle to Support His Family
Hello, my name is Isaac Rodriguez, and I’m reaching out during one of the most difficult times of my life. I never imagined I'd need to ask for help, but I’m in a situation where I have no other choice.
I'm a father of three wonderful kids—ages 3, 7, and 10—and I’m also the sole caregiver for my 16-year-old sister. We share the same mother, who struggles with addiction and is no longer in our lives. I receive no outside support for her, but I’m doing everything I can to give all four children a stable, loving home.
I work full-time as a hotel supervisor, but recently, everything changed.
A Life-Changing Accident
I was in a serious car accident. While driving on a wet road, I lost control of my vehicle due to a traction control failure. My car went off a cliff, rolled down 30 feet, and flipped three times. I was rushed to the hospital by ambulance, suffering from a deep cut to my hand and a head injury. I’m incredibly lucky to be alive.
The Aftermath
My car was totaled, and I’ve been told I’ll need to take at least two weeks off work to recover. Because I had only recently started a new insurance policy, my deductible jumped from $1,000 to $3,000, and I still owe nearly $7,000 on the car (a Lexus IS250). I’m unlikely to receive a payout, which leaves me without transportation.
Without a car, I can’t get to work—and without work, I can’t provide for my kids or maintain joint custody.
Why I’m Asking for Help
I’m asking for $3,000 to purchase a reliable used vehicle from a personal seller. This will allow me to keep my job, continue caring for my sister, and maintain custody and stability for my children.
This isn’t easy to write. But right now, I truly need help to keep my family afloat.
If you’re able to contribute—no amount is too small—you would be making a direct and lasting impact on the lives of four kids and the father doing everything he can to care for them.
Thank You
Thank you for taking the time to read my story. Even if you can’t donate, sharing this page would mean the world to us.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Isaac Rodriguez
