This fundraiser is for my dear friend Ashley, a devoted mother of two beautiful little girls — just 1 year, 2 years, and a 5 month old precious boy. Ashley is fighting one of the hardest battles a mother can face: the fight to bring her babies home.
Ashley’s story is one of heartbreak, redemption, and unwavering love. Years ago, after surviving deep trauma and loss — including her husband’s deportation and losing her two older sons to her toxic, narcissistic mother — Ashley fell into addiction and served time in prison. But that’s not where her story ends.
Since coming home, Ashley has completely turned her life around. She’s been sober, rebuilding her life from the ground up, and working to create a safe, loving home for her little girls. She’s the kind of mom who shows up every day with strength and love, no matter how hard it gets.
But when Ashley decided to relocate to give her children a better life, her mother panicked. Instead of supporting her daughter’s growth, she went behind her back to the courthouse and filed for emergency guardianship — taking the babies away.
Now, Ashley is facing her mother in court — one last time — to fight for her family. She’s doing everything she can, but legal fees are expensive, and she can’t do this alone.
We are asking for $5,000 to help cover her legal costs and give Ashley the chance to bring her babies home where they belong.
