Some time in early to mid August I noticed a change in my left breast. I was having random discomfort and pain as well. I made an appointment to be checked out immediately.
On 9/11/23 I went in for my breast exam and they did have some big concerns. My doctor wanted me in for a mammogram and ultrasound ASAP.
It just so happened that there was an opening at their other location that afternoon, so I took it. The doctor and nurse were fantastic. I was scheduled back the following week for a mammogram guided breast biopsy. I received the results about a week later, confirming cancer. I was then scheduled to see the surgeon on 10/11/23 and discuss options from there.
Fortunately I’m surrounded by my supportive family, great group of friends, and the best team of medical professionals a girl could ask for!
My main concern right now is making sure rent is paid, bills taken care of. I’m not one to beg for scraps or handouts. But this is defiantly a situation I never thought I’d be in and it’s petting me in a financial bind.
