It is hard to find the words to describe my brilliant friend and colleague Mollee. I have attended births with her for 15 years in hospitals, birth centers and homes. She is an outstanding Doula, Mother…human being. Mollee has supported hundreds of mothers through birth, always patient, kind, supportive and empowering. Families lives have been beautifully changed by her loving labor support. Her work in birth is beyond measurable.
It is with an aching heart that I now ask the families she has supported to offer her some needed support in return.
Mollee has been fighting an exhausting battle with cancer and after her recent treatments have stopped offering hope she is moving to hospice care. Her husband is looking into a future as a single parent with one income, and helping their 2 children deal with the loss of a beloved mother.
I am humbly asking any past clients of Mollee’s to donate whatever they feel they can to help her journey on and give her family some respite and time to adjust to this new reality.
