ππ¨ EMERGENCY: 24 Hours to Save a Blind Grandmother & 4 Kids from the Street π¨π
It is with shaking hands and a heart that's is breaking for my lifelong friend, Shayla and her family. Her situation is dire and time sensitive. Shayla, was just served papers by the Sheriffβs Department. She, her daughter, and her four grandchildren (ages 6, 8, 14 and 16) have exactly 24 hours to vacate their home.
A Perfect Storm of Misfortune
Shayla recently lost her sight to Macular Degeneration. Because she can no longer see, she lost her job. Despite her disability, her initial claim was denied, leaving the family with $0 income. They have fought so hard to stay afloat, but they are now down to a single box of rice and a few packs of noodles.
The 24-Hour Goal
We are four days from Christmas, and tomorrow, this family will be standing on the curb unless we act. We are raising funds for three immediate needs:
Β * Emergency Shelter: A week at a local motel to keep the kids safe and warm while we find a long-term solution.
Β * Storage & Transport: A U-Haul and a small storage unit so they donβt lose every possession they own to the sidewalk.
Β * Food & Essentials: Immediate groceries so these children do not go hungry during this move.
How You Can Help
Please, if you have $5, $10, or even $100, it will go directly to a motel room and food for tonight. If you cannot give, please share this link immediately. The clock is ticking, I urge you to help my friend and her family as they face a tremendous hardship 4 days away from Christmas and less than 24hrs away from eviction. NO CHILD SHOULD SPEND CHRISTMAS ON THE STREET AND HUNGRY WITH THEIR BLIND GRANDMOTHER. ππ½πππ½
