I have always had a special love and admiration for “The Little Old Lady from Pasadena “. You know the type- sassy, feisty, determined, stubborn , with a passion for life and determination to keep going despite and in spite of what life brings. I worked in nursing for 26 years, and after a career ending injury while responding to an emergency with a patient: I popped my hip while running. I went into the adult beverage industry and became the Bud Lady of Belleville, IL. A job that I loved as much as kayaking. Two months after I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. I was having a day I was training someone for my role and assisting my trainee with a load for one of my stores on my route. My sales rep, trying to be noble and protect me, saw me stacking 30 packs on my Rollator and taking them from the display to the cooler. I was told I had to retire. Fast forward 2 years, I have declined as a result of my MS being Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis. I have so many documented falls, they want me to use a power chair, which is great except, now it doesn’t fit in my car. I need a wheelchair van. I also need to be able to get my chair to the bathroom and my bed and right now I can’t get it past my dryer because the hallway is too narrow. Please help me get my wish
