Community Counter began as a contact tracing initiative and has evolved to become a comprehensive Covid-19 resource page for the Chicagoland Orthodox community. We have created a thorough list of local Covid-19 testing sites, connected families with counseling, meals, enrollment in plasma trials, and vetted medical and public health guidance.
We have also initiated a broad-scale mask education campaign, which recently culminated in a video from many of Chicago's rabbis, doctors and leaders entitled "I'm Your Neighbor- Please Wear a Mask." The video has received excellent feedback, and we hope to use our growing reach to continue to raise awareness that we are here and able to help.
Our funding request reflect our need to provide meals and counseling to those who may be struggling financially, as well as continue to market our site in local Jewish press. Raising continuous awareness of who we are and what we do is critical to our mission of supporting our community through this extremely challenging time. We are here to help.
