Exciting news folks! We've reached $30K in donations for our GoFundMe campaign for Teahupoo! The entire amount has been sent to Teahupoo City Hall to assist those affected by the recent disaster. Dear Friends,
My name is Raimana Van Bastolaer, and for those who don't know me, I am a proud Tahitian who has dedicated my life to the ocean, our mythic spot, and our beautiful community in Teahupoo. Unfortunately, our community has recently been hit by a devastating storm, and the resulting flooding has caused untold damage to our homes and businesses.
As someone who has been fortunate enough to build a life here, I feel it is my duty to help my neighbors and friends in any way that I can. That is why I have decided to launch a SpotFund campaign to raise funds for those affected by this tragedy.
I know that there are already other fundraising efforts underway, but I believe that my network of friends and supporters can help to make a real difference. Every donation, no matter how small, will go directly to the families who have lost everything in this disaster.
I am committed to making sure that every dollar raised is distributed fairly and equitably to those in need. Together, we can make a real difference and help to rebuild our community. For the next two weeks, I will be at the Surf Ranch in Lemoore, but I will return soon to the fenua to see what we can accomplish together.
