Archie is our 5 year old, 150 lb American Bulldog with a heart as big as he is. If you’ve met Archie, you know he is a lovable, sweet boy whose favorite thing in the world is playing ball with his dad. Even now, he's still in good spirits, a happy and playful guy who brings so much joy into our lives.
Recently Archie was diagnosed with a cancerous nasal tumor. This news was heartbreaking, especially for a dog who is still so full of life and energy.
After exploring all possible options and diagnostic tests, the oncology specialists at BluePearl Pet hospital are optimistic that Archie is a candidate for CyberKnife treatment. We would not make this decision lightly, and would never want to put Archie through treatment that would cause him pain or be difficult on his body. However, this advanced radiation therapy offers a chance to shrink the tumor in just 3 treatments with minimal side effects, meaning Archie's quality of life wouldn't be hindered and we could expect that he will return to his normal, goofy self. Our hope is that this treatment will give him the opportunity to enjoy a few more precious years, continuing to chase his ball and play with his little brother Pancake.
We want nothing more than to give Archie the best chance at a longer, happy life. It's incredibly difficult to face a situation where money is a barrier to providing the care he deserves. While we have pet insurance, it will only cover a small portion of the significant cost of CyberKnife treatment along with the diagnostic testing we have already done.
Please consider donating and sharing this post. Archie, Pancake, Dan and I are incredibly grateful for the support and love we continue to receive from our friends and family. Thank you ❤️
