I am currently forming a nonprofit organization called the Watertown Anglers Association where our mission is to conduct a lawful, ethical, and sustainable business in order to create value over the long-term with regard to local water habitat conservation, stewardship of fishing recreation, and the education of our youth in the sport at low or no cost to them.
That's legal speak for free fishing for kids on a weekly basis where they will learn the fundamentals of the sport, help protect and clean our local waters through litter clean up and proper fishing etiquette plus opportunities for growth through tournaments, contests, and skills assessments with rewards such as free tackle and equipment to keep.
There are plenty of opportunities to volunteer and mentor our area youth through this organization. As of now we are just waiting on the IRS to get back with the official tax exemption status otherwise everything is good to go!
