South Plainfield, NJ. Need funds immediately to stop the storage facility from taking our belongings. We've lost our home and now we're going to lose everything we've ever had, including photo albums, family heirlooms, clothing, shoes, instruments, etc..60 +years worth of memories. We've been working hard to get these units emptied and downsized but we're running out of time. The cold weather and 12 hour work days haven't made it easy. The movers threw everything into the facility carelessly, without reason , so sorting and removal of junk and bulk items have added to the cost and time.
The journey we took through cancer, funerals, job loss, and doing our best to recover from it all has taken its toll.
We've done everything we can on our own so far, but we need some help if you are able. I know it's the holiday season, but every little bit will help, even a share.Please, I can't lose anymore. We're still in the process of finding a place to live, a place to call home. Every dime will go towards that effort and securing our belongings.

The original plea: Somehow, or some way, somebody decided they were going to pay some taxes on my family's house unbeknownst to them. This guy shows up with a cop a few weeks back and tells my parents he owns the house now. So it went to the courts and for weeks my parents are on edge about whether or not they're going to lose the house. It seemed like the courts ruled in my parents favor and then suddenly today, cops show up and give my mom, stepdad, and my brother 20 minutes to gather things and leave the premises. So currently they are traveling in my brother's vehicle as their only means of transportation. They are traveling with two animals: a chicken and a cat.
Trying to get them a little bit of a safety net as we try to navigate this situation.
