I have the most amazing caregiver ever, Linda Sherman. Many of you may know her as she pushes Kirk in his wheelchair as well as working with Drew. Needless to say, she has been a lifesaver with her kindness and generosity toward our Morris family, as she goes over and beyond.
She is trying to help her son, James Franklin, Jr., who has come to live with her. He is well over 500 pounds. He has no insurance or indigent care. She is struggling to buy a CPAP for him (about $2000). She sleeps beside him on the couch in his hospital bed in her living room, waking up every hour to make sure he is breathing as he stops breathing periodically. There are also medical needs such as renovation of a shower stall and a bench for him to sit on.
Linda has been a caregiver for many years for loved ones, whether they are our elderly parents or children/adults with disabilities.
Her heart is huge. She does over and beyond for everyone she works with. She now deserves help with her son.
