My mom has been the strongest woman I've ever known. She sacrificed so she could help others. She lost my dad to lung cancer. She lost 2 of her sister the past two years. She lost her granddaughter, jade. Jade was my baby and we buried her July 25,2020. Jade left 3 little girls behind. My mom helped me get back to my life. She had endless grandkids night out at her house for the girls. She had an amazing life. She was a journalist and photographer for over 30 years. She lived in the place that o grew up in. She was out everything. I remember when my daughter passed she constantly would call and show up ringing my doorbell. Leaving little things on my porch to get me up off the couch. She is the reason I am still not curled up in a ball in bed. She was like this to everyone she knew and loved. Even if she didn't know you! The nurse that took care of my mom in the hospital called me and told me how special my mom was. She said my mom made a sandwich for her to take home to her cat from her hospital food. Every one of her drs and nurses called to tell me how special she was to all of them.
my mom battled covid pneumonia for 5 weeks. The story of how she contracted it is just beyond sad. Myself , my sister and my mom all drove to get the first vaccination together. We had another family member and small child that day with us. 3 days later I fell ill. I had covid. I then made an appointment for my mom and sister to get tested they were positive so err the other passengers in the car. One was asymptotic. Just one 30 minute car ride. That's all it took and the worst part is my mother stopped living her life when covid hit. My mom was a very fun loving person. She would go country dancing every weekend. She was always out around town visiting her family. I can't put into words my moms life but I can assure you it was one of a very hard working loving mother. She was very strong in her faith. She was very adamant about never worrying any of her family. I want to give my mom the send off she deserves. My mom was a queen she loved all of us. I want to give her a celebration of her life.
