Meet Cassandra Miller.
At just 21 years old, Cassandra has already walked through more than many people experience in a lifetime. Her story has held hardship, trauma, loss and some incredibly difficult seasons — but that isn’t where her story ends.
Today, Cassandra’s story is becoming one of redemption, healing and hope.
Cassandra grew up in a large blended family and experienced significant hardship throughout her childhood.
She was raised in a deeply religious environment, but eventually reached a point where she felt she could no longer remain in the only life she had ever known.
She left her family home and the church, searching for answers, belonging and a place where she could finally feel safe and genuinely loved.
Eventually, Cassandra found herself at rock bottom.
And then she came to Made for More.
Over the time Cassandra has been with us, we have had the privilege of watching God begin to rewrite her story.
At Made for More, Cassandra has experienced something she had been searching for much of her life: genuine love, healthy community, a place to belong and, most importantly, a real relationship with Jesus.
She is learning that following Jesus is so much more than religion. She is discovering who God actually is — and who she is because of Him.
We’ve watched her grow.
We’ve watched her heal.
We’ve watched her wrestle through hard things instead of running from them.
We’ve watched her begin to believe that the things that happened to her do not have to determine what happens next.
And now, Cassandra is ready for her next step.
Cassandra has been given an incredible opportunity to attend GCBI, a discipleship program that is opening a new campus right here in Martinsburg, Pennsylvania.
This will give Cassandra the opportunity to spend an intentional season going deeper in her relationship with Jesus, studying the Bible, developing practical life skills, building healthy community and continuing to discover the purpose God has for her life.
We don’t see this as simply sending Cassandra to another program.
We see it as investing in the foundation for the rest of her life.
The cost for Cassandra to attend GCBI is $9,000, plus expenses and we are asking our friends, family and community to help us make this opportunity possible for her.
