High-functioning Autistic people don't have the support they need to navigate many parts of their life. Once they reach age 21 the government says they are adults. But in most cases these folks still need a lot of support.
Brady Croghan is one of these people. He has overcome so many struggles in his life. He's able to drive a car because he got his written portion of the driver test read to him. He also works at a Pizza place where reading is not a requirement. However, Brady wants to be a firefighter but can't pass the 25 question written test for his CPR certification. He was evaluated by a psychologist and a reading specialist, and they determined that Brady is unable to decode multi-syllable words. He also has visualization difficulties. With an intensive reading program, the doctor and reading specialist believe Brady can achieve his goals.
The reading program, Lindamood Bell costs $30,000, unfortunately I'm unable to afford this on my own. Brady is a sweet, kind young man with a big heart. He deserves a chance to follow his dreams.
