Hello! I'm Harper :)
I am 16 years old and I am currently in the process of getting my drivers license (exciting right?)! I completed my drivers ed courses and I am taking my written test on Monday, October 10. Unfortunately, I am not able to afford the full coverage insurance i would need in order to practice driving with my family’s car as we are still paying it off.
I have been working multiple days a week at my (first ever!) job which i got in July of this year, and have around $2000 saved towards buying a car. However, my DREAM car, ever since I was a tiny little toddler, is a VW beetle and they are going for roughly $4-6k right now.
I need your help to get me this car! Other, cheaper cars i’ve looked at carry certain concerns that make me very hesitant to buy them. For starters, most of the cars that are for sale right now for $2k or less have 200k+ miles on them, safety concerns, and various other issues (no AC, needs mechanical work, broken bumpers, etc). Beetles have proved to be a pretty reliable choice, not to mention how cute they are! Honestly, I really just want my first car to be something that I’m proud of that I can use for a while until I move on to the next chapter of my life.
I am planning on using my car to drive myself to and from school and work, along with driving my grandmother, Susan, and my little brother, Marley, out and about in the city.
Recently it has become more and more difficult for my parents to provide consistent rides due to our situation (my mom is looking for a job and using the car to drive to interviews, my dad has been sick, and my grandmother needs to go to medical appointments). We only have one car, so if I would be able to buy one for myself it would be much easier for us to get things done.
Please please help me reach me goal! Anything helps and is very much appreciated! I have full faith that I can count on you to help me achieve my goals and buy my dream car.
